Hello! All my life I have been intrested in the stars and skies! And what lays past our little plannet, sense I can remember I've been into Astronomy/Astrology and Science/Technology. So my 2 questions are 1. What is a good beginner telescope? I have looked at a few Meade? Telescopes for around $200-$499 and thats where I'd like to stay untill I get more knowledgable! The 2nd question is, I live in a Large/Medium size city (Baton Rouge, LA) and even though it doesnt have the bright lights of NYC or larger city It still is bright. Fortunately I live on the outskirts of town and at night I can see as far as my eyes will let me see! But with Baton Rouge in the distant will this affect my viewing of the stars and everything beyond?
